Trees contribute a whole lot to our collective health and quality of life:

  • Conserving energy in summer and winter

  • Cleaning the air and reducing noise

  • Providing nesting sites, food and cover for wildlife

  • Holding the soil in place and reducing polluted runoff

  • Increasing property values

  • Social and psychological community benefits

Mission & Goals

Mission

Our mission is to preserve and build Old Saybrook’s Tree Canopy.

Our Goals for 2026

For this upcoming year, our goals are to plan and execute free tree giveaways in the Spring and Fall of 2026, and have successful fundraising efforts to support these free tree giveaways. We cannot accomplish enhancing Old Saybrook’s tree canopy without your generous support! Please consider giving to our 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Long-term goal

Our long-term goal for our community is for Old Saybrook to become an Arbor Day Foundation Tree City USA.
